Repeatability of central corneal thickness measurement with the Pentacam HR system

چکیده
Purpose: To assess the repeatability of central corneal thickness measurement at the geometrical center (Central Corneal Thickness CCT) given by the Pentacam High Resolution (HR) Comprehensive Eye Scanner (Oculus, Wetzlar, Germany) over time. Methods: Prospective, single center, observational study. Two separate CCT measurements were taken by the Pentacam corneal tomography exam (CTm) 3 to 12 months apart, and compared. Results: One hundred and sixteen eyes (n=116) of 62 health patients were included in this study. Average CCT in first and last visits was 541.6±37 μm and 543.6±36.9 μm respectively. Mean difference between both measurements was 9.2±6.4 μm, and there was no statistically significant difference in CCT measurement between visits, with good correlation between them (P = 0.057, r2 = 0,9209). Conclusion: Pentacam (HR) CTm gives repeatable CCT measurements over time.

متن کاملRepeatability and Agreement of Central Corneal Thickness and Keratometry Measurements between Four Different Devices
Background. To estimate repeatability and comparability of central corneal thickness (CCT) and keratometry measurements obtained by four different devices in healthy eyes. Methods. Fifty-five healthy eyes from 55 volunteers were enrolled in this study. CCT (IOLMaster 700, Pentacam HR, and Cirrus HD-OCT) and keratometry readings (IOLMaster 700, Pentacam HR, and iDesign) were measured. For statis...

Purpose: To compare the central corneal thickness measured through Pentacam, OCTCasia2, and Orbscan IIz in normal individuals. Methods: In this cross sectional comparative study, the researcher investigated the eyes of 70 normal candidates (140 eyes) with the mean age of 31.42 ± 7.70, referring to Dr. Sedaghat eye clinic for refractive surgery. For each person, Central Corneal Thickness (CCT) w...

Background Reaching a consensus on which parameters are most reliable at detecting progressive keratoconus patients with serial topography imaging is not evident. The aim of the study was to isolate the parameters best positioned to detect keratoconus progression using the Pentacam HR® measures based on the respective limits of repeatability and range of measurement. Method Using the Pentacam...

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to compare 4 methods of central corneal thickness (CCT) measurements in terms of their agreement, repeatability, and measurement time. METHODS CCT was measured in 184 eyes of 92 healthy subjects by the same examiner. The methods used were as follows: noncontact specular microscopy (SM; Topcon SP-3000P; Topcon Corporation, Tokyo, Japan), Pentacam rotating Sche...
